Legend says that Magic Bird stopped in a clearing near Cetii Stone to announce the year's holidays. Some shepherds have spotted it and decided to catch it in order to decorate their hats with its colorful feathers, but when they approached her, the bird spoke the language of the people and asked them to spare her, promising clearings that will fill them up with feathers each year. Shepherds gave way and the bird flew to Gaina Massif, shaking it in flight feathers so since then and until today, the meadows are full of beautiful narcissus.

Rosia Montana

Rosia Montana is a mining village in Apuseni Mountains, situated within walking distance of the cities Campeni and Abrud, Alba county. I will not talk about the whole story with gold parliamentary quarrels etc., but I will say a few words about Rosia Montana as a tourist, i.e. I will tell you about the old quarry where gold extraction in the past.

First I want to tell you that once arrived in the village I was amazed to see that just walked on the street people dressed in miners, and no one else.

To go to the old career have to go to the village hall, and at one point on the left side of the road will be a pointer to the Stone Raven. Go in the direction and after about 15 minutes away by car on a forest road you will reach the old quarry.

Everything seems sinister, old machines forsaken and left to fall prey phenomenal nature, no trace of man all the way, everywhere only indicator with 'stop', 'trespassing', 'accident hazard'.

Can be ignored those signs and eventually can lead to career can take pictures, and from there you can take a few pebbles as a souvenir, perhaps who knows are full of gold.
